@DGlaucomflecken Currently in research time that we call “professional development” absolutely having the time of my life. 100% not a punishment, but I personally definitely only need one year.
@FearedBuck It’s always “Black Women are afraid/embarrassed to wear their hair” and not “Black Women started straightening their hair and wearing weaves because white america said they couldn’t work or go to school because their hair is unprofessional” This is still going on today.
@adamirvinmusic@BreitbartNews Trump would be 82 at end of term, which is too old to be chief executive of anything, let alone the United States of America.
If DeSantis runs against Biden in 2024, then DeSantis will easily win – he doesn’t even need to campaign.
@aribindi You don’t think people who cut people open and take out their organs are surgeons? Not a spicy take just no a particularly thoughtful or intelligent take, but certainly one to fit your underlying agenda.
@MSMEDU Domestic violence is a public health problem & should be acknowledged when a Black woman physician is a victim of domestic violence. Dr. Woolery didn’t pass— she was murdered
My classmate, one of the handful of black women on campus, was murdered after she just received the intern of the year award at the end of her first year of her general surgery residency. She was a mother, a beautiful soul and an inspiration. Please consider donating
It’s so necessary for relationship and trust building in the outpatient surgery world so it’s a really good feeling to know I’ll be an asset to my future field.
In the last few months I’ve been complimented by patients & attendings alike for the way I talk to pts during my consenting & consultation process 🥰
In medicine it can feel like everything needs to be done in a rush sometimes, but there is almost always time to connect human to human. Thats my practice style—people taking care of people. My patients probably don’t know it but they’ve tremendously helped me to too #HereToHelp
As of late, I’ve gotten the most heartwarming comments from my patients. I remember being called to the ICU in the middle of the night to check on my patient and after I did all the things to develop a solid care plan, I then just took a few minutes to talk the pt through it.
Coming in today, multiple people have told me that my patient has been raving about me 🥹 To anyone who will listen really, lol. Seeing them for the first time today was everything. Everything. I almost cried y’all.
