Another highlight of the year was our participation in the organization of ICANS30. With 150+ people attending and 90+ talks, there were some interesting discussions. We are so thankful to our NAME volunteers for helping before, during, and after the event to make it a success.
Welcome to ICANS30 from @NameProgramme. We are excited to have been involved in the organising and delivering of this conference - stay tuned for highlights from some great speakers and posters through the week!
As we come down off our Royal Society #summerscience high and try to get our voices back, it's nice to see our researchers, like @RyanBower_, being highlighted in the covergae.

This was the queue for the VR yesterday - and this wasn't it at its longest! FINAL day of royal society #summerscience. If you can't make it (or just don't fancy the queue) remember you can find information and the VR video on our website https://t.co/ma6JHMiW6s
Could you build materials atom by atom? Raghav finds out at the #SummerScience Exhibition - head on down to the Royal Society until Sunday 7 July to see it up close!
And we are off! We are set up and ready to go- come along to @royalsociety#summerscience to find out all about nanoscale materials!

Today we’re in sunny Leeds for our quarterly meeting.
First we shared updates from the past three months - lots of exciting work happening!
And now we have Dr Daan Arroo from @ImpMaser giving us a deep on masers.
It’s always great to get together!
📣New NAME paper 📣 the @UoMSciEng team have published a paper on the worlds purest silicon 🏅great material to make quantum computers at scale, and with high accuracy see paper below👇

How do you get 32,000 LEDs cut and soldered- offer 🍕 of course! First evening session at @UoMSciEng, excited to make the light cube a reality for @royalsociety#summerscience many thanks to those who turned up, really is all ✋ on deck to get this one done!!
Today is the day! To celebrate #Quantum Day we have worked with @GreatSciShare and Artful Fox Creatives to create this ⚛️
‘Izzy Jones’s Quantum World’ and Guided Enquiry resources enable pupils to work like quantum scientists available from TODAY!!! #GSSfS2024
Last day at the @sim_manchester for their February half term play demonstrations! Think we've broken the 1000 interactions mark, one more day today, so if you are in the Manchester area pop along and see how good you are at implanting ions!
📣 New paper out 📣 MASERs, the microwave analogue to LASERs, are no longer confined to the lab, but now portable "shoe-box" size as the group @ImpMaser, as part of the NAME group, have shown in their new publication

Great collaborative effort with @NameProgramme and @PSI_UoM at @sim_manchester February half term event- demonstrating everything from ion implantation to atomic force microscopes! Hundreds of families engaged and smiles all round 😀
Look at us get into the real Christmas spirit- what's behind window 3 of the @UoMSciEng FSEtivities - well our very own micro snowflake! Check out the link below for full details 👇
