Here in 📍Boston for #AACRec23!
What a privilege it is to be in the audience listening to one of my research mentors, Dr. @KemiDoll, give her talk “The Future of Endometrial Cancer Research: Progress and Purpose”
Her talk highlighted the disparities of Black women with #EndometrialCancer. There are so many reasons for why this may be, but one of the many striking slides in her presentation was the graph describing the overlapping vulnerability and underlying risk in care delay within endometrial cancer.
An excellent keynote to kick off this meeting!

Had a fantastic time at #AACRec23- great showcase on translational science in endometrial cancer, seeing my mentor @MelindaYatesPhD in person again, and connecting with some physician-scientist gynecologic oncologists that I have a career-crush on!! The future is bright 🩵🧬🔬
Amazing dual poster presentations at #AACRec23 by @DrAmyJamieson !! Outcomes in hyper methylated vs non-hypermethylated MMRd EC demonstrating worse outcomes and more immune cold tumours and ALSO sWGS is fast/effective in detecting CN alterations using FFPE. Congrats Amy!
I spoke with @JenLeeCBC about the lack of comprehensive women’s health care in Lethbridge. This city deserves better. Glad to see that the CBC and others are paying attention. https://t.co/QxExtwwybq
Fantastic work by this international group led by Dr McAlpine.
*⃣ Adjuvant chemo and RT associated with ⬆️DSS for patients with p53abn EC, including non-serous ECs.
*⃣ Chemo ≠ improved outcomes in MMRd EC, even in stage III disease.
