@nocapback Nakase would never coach such a defensive liability who needs everything organized around her to succeed. Gabby Williams is more valuable to GSV than CC could ever be
@HectorInirio@IndianaFever White is my pick. She took a rag tag band of players around Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston and almost eliminated the Aces to make it to the final. She’s brilliant. CC is uncoachable
The Indiana Fever run two different offenses. I didn't see it before, but I clearly see it now.
I believe Stephanie White has one. And Caitlin Clark has one.
I can see them calling and running plays when it's not thru Caitlin. But, when Caitlin has the ball, it's mostly her calling for picks.
She clearly goes rogue on the offensive schemes. Very often.
I can see her teammates signaling her to move off the ball to get open looks thru Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.
And she doesn't move. She often stands in one spot. When she doesn't have the ball, she looks uninterested in being any other type of threat on offense.
When Caitlin is out of the game, the Fever don't play this way. They all move.
This isn't even to say that one way works over the other. Many Caitlin fans want her to be as heliocentric as possible.
She was being heliocentric in that 3Q after Atlanta adjusted.
She had 5 turnovers in the period. This makes her defensive lapses unacceptable.
The Indiana Fever are an interesting bunch.
And we get to see it all play out with ALL of their games being nationally televised.
Call it the Caitlin Clark Effect, for sure.
@DBGyt_ Nakase would never accept a player with Clark’s defensive weaknesses and her whiny attitude. Her team is on fire. Clark’s game requires that she be the center of everything, nothing can be further from the way the Valkyries play.
@walter_gates@WNBA I’m white but I never believed CC was the second coming. When she goes on a shooting tear she’s really fun to watch but much of the time I’m embarrassed for her. I also think she should forcefully distance herself from the conservative and racist cult segment of her ‘fans’
