Students, track your tuition dollars & get pissed. How much of it for the new chancellor's $450+K salary on top of her $8K for housing and $1K for a car? It's certainly not going to instruction or else we'd get paid better and you wouldn't have 40+ other students in your classes.
@rebeccaromani Yeah when I told student show much I made as an adjunct, they looked at me and one of them said “I make more than that at my job right now.” Yup, that’s why I need side gigs. Proof your tuition dollars aren’t really going towards instruction.
What the “pay back your debt” people don’t seem to understand is that many borrowers actually paid their balance back—two and three times over. The interest built so fast that it’s impossible to pay down. That’s part of the reason why canceling the debt is so necessary.
Yet the new CSU president got a 27% pay increase. Pay up, students. And suck it, faculty. That's what the CSU is telling us. Time to strike.
