Fluctuat nec mergitur.
Tossed by the waves, but does not sink.
It's the ancient motto of my favorite city in the world, Paris. Carved into their coat of arms for centuries. A ship on a stormy sea — battered, spray everywhere, listing hard — but still floating. Still moving forward.
Wow! It could have been written for Bitcoin.
Think about what that little orange coin has survived. Bear markets. Government bans. 80% drawdowns. Media FUD. Exchange collapses. Congressional hearings. Endless "this time it's dead" headlines. The world has thrown every storm it has at Bitcoin.
And every ten minutes, a new block gets added.
The waves are the volatility. The ship is the protocol. And the "does not sink" part? That's 500+ obituaries written, and Bitcoin still here, still settling value, still refusing to go under.
Tossed. Never sunk.
@noahkaufmanmd BAFERD! You da man! American Ninja Warrior! Bitcoiner extraordinaire! Now going solo. Way to bring in some sovereignty to the field. Legend.🚀
If I put $10,000 in Bitcoin in 2015, I’d have over $3 million now.
No.
If you bought $10,000 of Bitcoin in 2015 and watched it go:
$10k → $25k → $50k
…and did nothing.
Then watched $50k drop to $20k
…and still did nothing.
Then watched $20k climb to $65k → fall to $16k → rise again to $125k
…and still did nothing.
Then you would have over $3M now.
Focus on the lesson. ⚡️
Very few.
Kinda insane that $BTC has never traded below previous cycle peak for any meaningful amount of time after it makes a new all time high.
Stairstepping higher for 17+ years.
Just wrapped up an incredible conversation with the Divot team about Bitcoin, entrepreneurship, and why California needs to wake up.
A couple things we covered:
𝗢𝗻 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻:
I bought my first bitcoins at $4.
Lost everything to Mt. Gox.
Bought back in in a US Marshall's auction when I paid over market at $632.
People thought I was crazy when Bitcoin was at $180 in 2014 and I predicted $10,000 by 2017. Three years to the day later, it hit exactly that.
My next prediction was thwarted by a misguided administration. Now, we are back on track.
Now I'm calling $250,000 in six months, and all up from there. $1,$2 maybe $10 million before Bitcoin eclipses the use of the dollar. The Bitcoin network keeps growing while the dollar keeps shrinking.
𝗢𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽:
At Draper University, we've proven you can create and mould entrepreneurs from ordinary people. We've taken 6,000 founders, who started 2,000 companies. Six are already worth over a billion dollars. All in 15 years. The secret is getting people to realize it's okay to stick their necks out.
The interview also covers why I still believe Elizabeth Holmes and CZ should be released, what my dad's Confederate million dollar bill taught me about currency.

Bitcoin Is For Everyone is out now in print, audiobook, and ebook -- I can’t believe I finally get to say that!
This educational project has been years in the making. It comes from my family’s immigrant story, from watching the American Dream get priced out for so many hard-working people, and from my conviction that understanding money and Bitcoin can truly change ordinary lives.
Before it goes out into the world in a bigger way, I want to acknowledge three people whose minds and hearts shaped this book in a huge way:
@LynAldenContact’s thoughtful, disciplined, data-driven mind was absolutely indispensable. Lyn’s ability to turn complex ideas into clear writing grounded in rock-solid facts was a huge inspiration. Knowing she took the time to read and challenge this book is an honor I don’t take lightly.
@JeffBooth has such a uniquely calm, compassionate way of explaining the massive paradigm shift we’re living through. Jeff helped me articulate the transition we’re in (from a debt-driven, deflation-fighting system to something more hopeful) in a way that feels grounded and human.
And the formidable Michael @Saylor…The way he combines first-principles logic, long-term vision, and personal integrity has deeply influenced my journey in Bitcoin. His example gave me so much courage to write boldly and from the heart.
To Lyn, Jeff, and Michael: thank you for reading early copies of Bitcoin Is For Everyone, for your feedback, and for the example you each set in this space. You helped make this book better!
I’m so excited (and very nervous!) to finally share it with all of you. You can order Bitcoin Is For Everyone now. I truly hope it helps people feel more empowered in this financial system.

⚠️ In 1950, minimum wage was $1.
But a $1 bill was backed by gold.
Today, that same $1 bill is worth $39.
If we never left a gold standard, you’d make 5x more than today, without needing to EVER raise minimum wage
So how did we ruin money?
