@Doctor_Samba @ian_hickie @RACGP @Mark_Butler_MP @MelissaLDavey Appreciate the support, just to clarify approx >95% of MH we manage as GP never need to see non-GP specialists and for those 5% we can very rarely access both public or private Psych help, so we ARE valued by our patients and mostly do crucial work for them❤

@NeelaJan To be honest, it's got to the point where u couldnt ever pay me enough to continue working as a GP...the personal toll on mental health, stress, family etc is just not what we signed up for..i gave it my best 20yrs and am out..🙄 am sadly not the first and wont be the last..

@NeelaJan Thank you. The system is failing us all, junior doctors are voting with their feet & senior GPs are retiring earlier/moving on. The increasing disrespect for my profession is gut wrenching. Let's not talk about resilience while we continue to build systems that break people.

Interesting observation..went to the cricket nets on my own during the week for bowling practice..was there for 45 min, 3 men stopped seperately to give me advice on how to bowl-a dogwalker,a jogger + a council worker, quite sweet... does this happen to men too? #womenscricket

Dear Journos... junior dr is a doctor who is still training....a GP is a Dr who has completed their specialist training..like a cardioligist/neurologist etc...it is a speciality on it's own...

“Junior” doctors are fully qualified doctors who have gone through medical school, internship and many years of being a doctor. I was a “junior” doctor for 10 years before I attained specialist surgeon qualification.

A GP is a fully qualified specialist in General Practice.

@heather_sia Thanks Heather! Yes..was an u14 game..and a loopy slow bowler..where the ball can pass the player above the waist and still dip down and hit the wickets..he will have to check with WACA about the above head rule

@mikelinny Thank you, Asking for my son who is a junior umpire...he called it a no ball and therefore not out but the square leg ump( the coach!)was arguing with him that it wasnt a noball as it hit the already toppled wickets..and was calling it bowled!!!
