My essay review (“The History of Stem Cell Research: A Philosophical Review”) is now available! https://t.co/PllnG8czqe - If anyone doesn’t have access, but would like to read it, please let me know.
@GregoryRupik No problem at all! If you’d like a more in-depth discussion about this, feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn (a link to my profile is in my bio). Having worked in both the sciences and HPSM, I’ve a little experience of such things. ☺️ Plus, new connections are always good!
@GregoryRupik ...as long as it has clear, practical, use. For example, see: https://t.co/9Y6NFf8CvR (the last sentence of this review is one of my favourites, & I’m so proud to say I’ve been able to have some discussions around this topic with @LucieLaplane ).
@GregoryRupik My experience is that current biologists struggle to see how historical work is relevant. To quote from a recent discussion I’ve had, unless it helps them get research funding, they’re not especially interested :) There’s sometimes a little more interest in philosophy...
@cefafalopodo @mortenoxe @PubPeer Yes - I just came here to say this as well. I’m going to stick to using my gmail address. Any decent journal does not decide what does or doesn’t merit publication by observing what follows the ‘@‘ on an author’s email.
@aylwardam Just having a look now but it certainly is tricky! I’ll let you know if I come up with anything, but so far I’m wondering whether it is something like ‘pre__ntion’ but I can’t think of a word that makes sense given the context.
If you fathom it please let me know! :)
@coreen_anne Excellent news! I’d really like to connect with you & have a chat about some common interests. I’m sure you’ll be able to find a few links with folks at @DurhamPhilosop1 (if you haven’t already)! 😊
Umm...@Hermesparcels? Apparently my parcel was delivered 90 minutes ago, and as proof you driver has included a photograph of a parcel in a letterbox...from the *inside* of a front door (which is very obviously not mine). Any idea where I might be able to find said delivery? 📦
#organismsandus Ever seen a baby pelican before?
Meet Rob who hatched from an egg abandoned at a dam on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, and a rescue organisation raised him. He's growing well and now taking his first steps.
