@txsportsdoc I now have to do garbage, outdated CMEs. I think it was $550/video for a 5 year old video that was 1 hour long and taught me nothing. I think I had to do 4 of them.
Now suddenly I also have to pay every year to take 40 questions for the rest of my life.
Such a scam!
@DutchRojas@MAHA_Action I have a great idea! Let's shut out physicians and get the same groups that pushed obamacare down our throats to "fix" healthcare!
What could go wrong?
I'm sure they will make sure to reign in whatever autonomy physicians have left.
@rcowan61@DutchRojas@MAHA_Action No, that is an incomplete summary. The only two that matter, the patient and the doctor, are still screwed and have no voice or seat at the table.
@tjthompson0@AZFamilySports It doesn't look bad if they were fresh but they seem like this is well into the workout. Their muscles were beyond fatigue before the video started.
@txsportsdoc@realdocspeaks@OckhamsRazor4@CoachSchardein But first we need congress to ease up the restrictions on HSA accounts. There are a lot of restrictions on who can have HSA accounts. Currently, you have to buy crappy obamacare to qualify to have an account. It should be a separate option unrelated to your plan or lack thereof.
@CoachSchardein@OckhamsRazor4@txsportsdoc@realdocspeaks Those that can't afford care at all have medicaid. For the rest many are paying $20-40k just for the plastic card and the privilege to pay another $10-20k in deductibles before their insurance pays anything. How much more care could they afford if they skipped it and paid cash?
@docshanep@noahkaufmanmd He is not wrong about indentured servitude or anything really. Many are coming out with $500,000+ in student loan debt (myself included) and with pay declining and costs rising the only hope most have is working for a "nonprofit" hospital for 10 years to get the loans forgiven.
@MikhailaFuller Rheumatologist+joint degeneration at 17 means very likely you had steroid-induced osteonecrosis. I see a case or two every year. Most people have no idea of the harms of corticosteroids.
@JeffreyPengMD Only 8.1% with isolated bursitis in Nazarian's 2013 study. It's not tronchanteric bursitis! Steroids are just increasing the risk of chronic disease and further tears. I always use rehab but many chronic or severe cases need PRP, Tenex, prolo, etc. NSAIDs only manage symptoms
@DGlaucomflecken Didn't Dr. Death do some impressive research during training?
I always got the impression that researchers just wanted students so they would have someone to suck up to them and do the work. They student suffers so they can get some garbage LOR or similar recommendation.
@LighthouseDPC My ranking of the order of culpability is the AMA, Congress, RUC, hospitals and insurers, societies with a seat on the RUC, CMS, and far last specialists.
My take on u from the few posts I have seen is that u just want to see the system implode because you already left. Wrong?
@OckhamsRazor4 Here's something for you to rage over. That same haircut would have cost ~$252 in 1992 but went up with inflation. If you adjust for inflation and devaluations to maintain budget neutrality you would be getting paid ~$2,240 by medicare this year. Instead you are getting ~$463.
