En Ehrlichiosis monocitica de origen natural, los marcadores funcionales (Creat, SDMA) no sugirieron daño renal como los nuevos marcadores de lesión tubular (uCysB y uClus). Aunque es muy recomendado su uso para entender a largo plazo, estos marcadores precoces son prometedores

A very rare case of a left sided retrocaval ureter. Very uncommon in dogs. The ureter collapses against the vessel and the lumbar muscles and produces hydronephrosis. The kidney is still alive so we will try to fix it. #nefrovetcolombia #nefroveteam

Brownie ate 250 mg/kg of Ibuprofen and presented too late for extracorporeal blood purification. Conservative management and monitoring showed improvement of azotemia but Urinary NGAL increasing in a 48 hours period. Interesting Test!!! #nefrovetcolombia

This little fighter has heartworm disease. The massive larvae death during his treatment induced an inflammatory response that is compromising his recovery. We decided to exchange his plasma for donors substitute. mTPE 1.2 PV. 3 sessions. #nefrovetcolombia. Keep holding Meyo!!

Never alone!! Just for the Pic!!!🐶 3 of us taking care of this sweet puppy with post-surgical AKI. Following current hemodialysis guidelines for dogs!!! Starting BUN 240 mg/dL. Vd 58% (calculated). Today kt/v will be 0, 7 in 8 hours. Not possible to make a continuous treatment.

Acute onset of unilateral urinoma in a cat. The antegrade pyelogram couldn’t find a tear in the collecting system. The contralateral kidney is not functional. Any ideas?

Another little monster removed from a ureter. Previous ureteral bypass got kinked and we decided to fix the catheter and removed the stone causing the primary problem. I wonder what is the mineral composition of the two structures united into one stone. #nefrovetcolombia

@KidneyVet The analysis came back as CaOx. The cat had previously been managed for severe septic perineal skin wound 4 weeks before this surgery. I saw the stone back then but no Pyelectasia and not stable for Cx. So we waited. But then….. Surprise!! That Klebsiella took it over.
