@poperespecter1@btbsoco Strictly speaking, wouldn't Can. 216 apply to a Catholic organization? Want to guess if the above organization bothered to obtain consent from the relevant bishop? Anyone? Anyone? Didn't think so. Pope Respecter is correct.
@tanpukunokami@DAKKADAKKA1 Yes. Christians are defined by the new covenant; the guy is using old covenant quotes. Jesus was born under the old but made the new, as foretold in the old covenant. So factual but not truthful. The Church has the right to bind and to loose. https://t.co/YTxPvhXttr
@NoahWebsterTX@brianeharrison The homestead exemption only applies to one house in TX, thus I pay more property taxes ("punished") for a second house even though it is by any measure a homestead for my renters. This is nearly a +30% assessment value on top of an overall 40% increase in the last 5 years. Nuts.
@miura_takako Ethics and love of neighbor is a blessing.
In the US, pockets of good remain, but the changes in other areas, especially the ungoverned cities, is rapid and unthinkable even a few years ago. Sitting duck is correct. Best wishes to Japan!
@BishopBarron A Catholic perspective is good; a Catholic perception of the good, true, and beautiful is even better. Thank you Bishop Barron for all you do.
@_ArcticDragon97@harukaawake Your list is found wanting. One in particular betrays a fundamental difference in ethics. Testing for Downs Syndrome directly leads to killing of innocent babies. Ethics matter. There is no grace or honor in sacrificing the one for the 99, rather the 99 sacrifice to save the 1.
