I really hope that the atmospheric radiation community finds this software useful, and that others can contribute to the software from other institutions. Ultimately I hope AniMAIRE can aid with the ultimate goal of protecting aircraft and passengers from cosmic radiation.

One of the fascinating things I've learned since starting my current job is that its possible to date past solar flares to within ONE YEAR using tree rings! This preprint from last month found two large solar events in 7176 and 5259 BCE. #spaceweather https://t.co/rQ4REsbgSI
