Public companies are supposed to bear some of the burden for the sake of their customers especially when they claim to be “customer-obsessed” like Amazon always does.

Bottom line: They’d rather make hard working families pay more at checkout than dare trim a shareholder dividend or CEO bonus by even a penny.

Instead of passing tariff costs onto consumers aka regular working people already getting crushed by inflation Amazon could: Cut back shareholder dividends (the payouts investors get just for holding stock) Reduce executive bonuses & compensation packages ($412M CEO Andy Jassy)
