@ImogenJames00@BBCWorld Its great writing, but please make the world a better place and focus on the people and communities, not the celebs and landmarks. They attract needed attention, but end up being the only thing anyone talks about. Your story is #3 on the BBC site and the only LA story in top 10.
@interact_minds An image of Kristian handing me a cup lives in my mind rent free whenever I think of an ostensive cue. This is wonderful obituary featuring his wonderful life. I am so sorry you lost him.
@behrenstimb I was assigned to sit beside @demishassabis at the FIL Xmas party in 2009 as a visiting postdoc. After introductions, he explained his plan for DeepMind. Awestruck, I've regretted not asking him for a job ever since!😀But seriously, it's been awesome seeing him change the world.
🚨New paper!
Do endorphins mediate the (rewarding) experience of social connection?
Panksepp said they would

@micahgallen Solidarity Micah. It is not just Denmark. Its work + family. The good news is that when your daughter is in school, you meet other parents and when she is older still, you get to hang out with one more amazing person you love all the time instead of needing to always be on.
🌟 Research Assistant opportunity 🌟

Super excited to share our study on ingestibles💊 published in @eLife ! 🚀 We've explored how gastric signals crucially shape our emotional experiences.
Huge thanks to the amazing co-authors: @alessandrmonti, @MaSePan7, and @SAglioti! It's been an incredible journey!✨
@PieAreSqwared My hypothesis is that SSRI effects on interoception could potentially relate to many SSRI benefits and side effects related to blunting of internal sensation, but clinical trials in patients with long-term treatment plans are needed to really test that.
Been thinking lately that when Darth Vader asks Luke to, "Search your feelings, you know it to be true" he is running an metacognitive interoception experiment.
@GiusiPorciello@eLife@alessandrmonti@MaSePan7@SAglioti Glad I saw this at ESCAN. It's REALLY cool! Complementing this, we just published our work showing an SSRI (i.e. antidepressant) reduces neural responses to stomach sensation, predicting effects on anxiety, if interested. 🧵https://t.co/R7OuA5h7yK 📰: https://t.co/vlUVL7Hrng
@citalopramstoic@DrSFink@CritchleyHugo@DrJLivermore@Sussex_Psych Sorry to hear it! With further research, this effect might explain emotional blunting and related side effects of SSRIs. For now, the effect of a single dose in healthy people won't be enough to draw that conclusion. It requires a clinical trial. This is just the starting point.
