I’m calling it a day peeps…I leave you with two puppies NYCACC has kill listed for Thursday…Juniper, one year old, and Luna, a ten month old puppy.

What have we become? Our throw away behavior has now been assigned to living beings…the most loyal of all animals on this planet…pups….

Would they do us dirty? Would they starve us? Dump us in communal housing to die? Would they neglect, abuse, make us fight for our supper….

When humans finally die off and leave the earth to recover, how will we be remembered—a species who deserved our demise or a species who was good to all living beings?

I’d like the later to be the answer…we can change human behavior and do better…make amends to our collective bad deeds and change now…don’t dump your pups in a municipal pound because they’ll die…

Hug your pups if you have them….

This sweet 8 year old boy was owner surrendered after a stroke~like episode caused left facial nerve paralysis (tongue pulls to the right) ~ then dumped because the owner “had no time.” 💔

8 years of pure loyalty since he was a tiny puppy, and this is what he got.

Medically: Facial paralysis and chronic ear infections, fair prognosis. Stable but needs continued vet care.

Capone was a playful, gentle family dog ~ friendly with kids, strangers & other dogs. Knows commands, loves walks, car rides, treats & cuddles. He deserved to grow old surrounded by love.

Now this senior is stressed and shut down in the shelter, showing fear and needing careful handling.  All he needs is a calm, experienced home to decompress while his people cherish his loyalty.

I’ve had enough for one evening peeps…I leave you with Breeze, a veritable walking skeleton who sought the kindness of humans at a park in NYC 😔 Brought to the NYCACC pound system in New York City now waits for a 3️⃣ day stray hold…would this outfit really return Breeze to the human scum who allowed this to happen to this Gorgeous Ebony Pibble☹️

I’ve been advocating for the NYC pups for 1️⃣0️⃣ years…in the last 2️⃣ years the number of emaciated pups has increased in an alarming number…Breeze is one of the worst I can recall.

Even if you’re poor & struggling with food insecurity, if you shared your food with your pup, it wouldn’t look like Breeze. This was inflicted purposeful starvation.

Bless this pup’s intelligence & instinct to find the right human to help. But now that Breeze is at the ACC of NYC we need to rally for Breeze.
