@danahatassi@NJ_Psychiatry Congratulations to all the residents and medical students who participated in the NJPA poster contest. The future of psychiatry shines bright!
Excited to speak with colleagues at Children’s National about the importance of engaging in #mentalhealth advocacy. We must call on policy makers to address the National Emergency in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. @AACAP @ChildrensNatl
The NCTSN offers #secondarytraumaticstress and #selfcare resources to help professionals across child-serving systems manage the #traumaticstress reactions they may experience while helping others. https://t.co/F3YTqFPmW8
Today was my last graduation, my last year as a trainee, my second fellowship, & the end of 10 years of post-graduate training. I never would have imagined this as the end of my training journey, nor believe places I’ve been along the way.
Keep an open mind, things work out.

👉 @louisianasenate should learn from studies and other states:
Removing the physician from the healthcare team ➡️
❗️Higher healthcare patient costs
❗️Overprescribing
❗️Overutilization of diagnostic imaging
❗️APRNs do NOT gravitate to rural areas
@lalegis#lalege vote NO HB495
Thank you @RepBonnie for your support for #mentalhealth#equity in BIPOC communities. Let’s work together to bring necessary mental health care to the communities that need it most! #AACAPLC21

#lalege@LouisianaHouse: NO on HB495 HB442
Strong evidence: removing physicians from team ⬆️ healthcare costs, overprescribing, overutilization of diagnostic imaging
Multiple studies: irrespective of scope of practice laws, despite ⬆️ APRNs, they have NOT moved into rural areas
👉 Louisiana HB495 HB442:
❗️Remove physicians from diagnosis & treatment
❗️Risk patient safety
❗️Benefit for-profit entities
❗️Do NOT improve access to care
