I created a surgical instruments speed dating activity and implemented it for the first time today in Surg Tech. It’s still a work in progress, but overall, I think the students had a lot of fun! @IAFultonSchools
I let my students spatter me with fake blood today so they could see how ghosting and shadowing patterns are made and then we headed inside to test the effect of height on size and appearance of blood drops. I love my job! Note to self, fake blood still stains your face. 😂
Thanks to @GeorgiaStateU Physics/Astronomy professors for letting us borrow their Starlab mobile planetarium! Looking forward to using this amazing tool! @IAFultonSchools
It felt really good that after being gone for almost a week due to being incredibly sick, my students greeted me with “Dr. Dawes! We’re so happy you’re back! We missed you!” instead of being bummed that life with a sub is over. I love my students. 🤍
When you’re a little bit extra, you have your students pull names for their cold Case project out of a cooler filled with ice cubes with the names inside of the ice cubes @IAFultonSchools
Had a great time with our fake blood making competition in forensic science to celebrate Halloween today. Big thank you to our guest judges who came in to evaluate all of the blood! @IAFultonSchools
