BREAKING: Donald Trump kicks the people of California square in the teeth as they struggle to recover from devastating wildfires by making political demands in return for federal relief funding.

This is the most vile form of politicization...

"I want to see two things in Los Angeles," Trump said to reporters in North Carolina. "Voter ID, so that the people have a chance to vote, and I want to see the water be released and come down into Los Angeles and throughout the state."

“Those are the two things. After that, I will be the greatest president that California has ever seen,” he added.

Just like everything else Trump does, these demands are utterly transparent. He's attacking California because it's a blue state. By implying that water supply problems are the sole cause of the fires, he distracts from climate change and smears his political enemies.

Experts have debunked his claims about the water supply, stating that the incidents of fire hydrants running dry were due to the extreme increase in demand, not underlying issues.

Voter ID laws, of course, have absolutely nothing to do with the wildfires. This is Trump exploiting a natural disaster to greedily grab at something on his political wish list. He wants those ID laws to make it harder to vote, depress turnout, and help Republicans.
