The @washingtonpost just shut down its *amazing* Spanish language podcast @elpost, AND its Spanish language opinion section.
What are these people thinking? The US is a multilingual country! We need journalism that reflects the citizenship.
On Feb. 6, the staff of Al Día, the Spanish-language pub at @dallasnews was told the team would be disbanded on March 1. The 5 staffers had no input. In a city and state where 40% of the population is Hispanic, a product that had original Spanish reporting is no more.
