The dumbest thing about this is how every other social platform WISHES they created a unique and renowned verb like "Tweet" or "Retweet" - that kind of brand recognition is near impossible to replicate intentionally
@scottderrickson All the streamers are bleeding money so I’m assuming it has to be that in most cases the numbers are bad, but revealing this would expose the fact that their decision making (& the bonus $ they give themselves) is totally arbitrary & not actually based on viewing numbers at all
@PopCrave I suspect this subject is particularly aggravating to him because it brings up the issue of his worst career misstep to date, insisting on playing the lead in the DEAR EVAN HANSEN movie (produced by his father) when he was far too old to pull it off anymore.
The Hollywood labor actions put the lie to the right-wing canard that Hollywood is liberal. Much of the talent might be, but once you get past a certain pay scale there are a ton of full-on MAGA people, plus execs who are no more "liberal" than the president of a logging company.
This is legit. There is a reason it takes you one grillion hours to get to Martha’s Vineyard on the ferry & longer to Nantucket. Unless you can afford to fly there on tiny planes.
An underappreciated aspect of this is that Instagram has convinced a lot of people without a ton of money that they should be traveling to places that rich people frequent.
Because rich people can afford to manage these inconveniences. You cannot.
@joerussotweets Yeah “we plan to destroy L.A.’s economy causing rippling effects for years to come” is not the politically savvy strategy they somehow thought it was? On top of being obviously pure Ebenezer Scrooge evil.
@boringalias@AutumnStyx@NinaSerafina Honestly the real problem there was the father didn’t know what kind of cereal his child ate but then again if you’re in a relationship where if you make any independent decision & it’s wrong, your toddler child gets punished, it’s not surprising he’d want to stay out of it 😐
@AutumnStyx@NinaSerafina A lady made a thread about how she tricked her dad into buying her Cookie Crisps when she was 4 & her mom had such an insane fit about it she literally could never ask her father for anything again. Then she deleted it bc everyone was like “this is weird”
@NBedera Yeah I’m not sure how some people are pretending not to get this. It wasn’t phrased as an offer to break up, it was a guilt trip. “If we end it’s your fault”.
@ArtTeacher2427@spencerideas This is exactly why the adults have to order that one green pepper & black olive 😅 easy toppings to pick off if you don’t like them but the kids will still shun it!
