She specializes in qualitative research methods, of which her work has been published in numerous journals. 2023 Women of Impact awardee Dr. Edella Schlager’s research centers on comparative institutional analyses of water laws, policies, property rights, and compacts in the Western U.S. She is the co-author of two books on western water governance and has been published in many journals.
