Had a great life so far, ruining it binging to get through the loneliness of 2 years of home working and lockdown. Not a daily drinker but binger. Needs to stop
@_xostargirl I hope you heal. I fear you will always have that burden on you no matter how hard you try. In a way it’s made you who you are. Made you a fighter and a brave person not wanting to give up. You’re an inspiration, mate. Keep going. ❤️
5 weeks ago I was a mess. If you’d have asked me then if I imagined being on top of the world (well England) at 10am on a Sunday morning I’d have laughed. But here I am. Clear headed and very much feeling alive. #5WeeksSober#15kmWalk#Ingleborough#KeepGoing#Proud
@WatermanNikki91 Happened to me too. Funny though I’ve not missed them since. That’s not the negativity I need around me. Cutting out toxic people around me makes me realise I was weak giving into the peer pressure. I’m much better without them and those that have stuck by me are the true friends
@pamela_pesta I was 750ml (near enough a 5th) of Vodka almost every day. Occasional break but it didn’t last long. I used it to block out pain in my life. Now realising that healing the anxiety and coming out of the darkness comes with sobriety and a clearer mind. Week 5 now and much happier.
I’m now setting myself small targets. This Sunday is my target now. That’ll be 5 weeks. Starting to feel a bit more alive now. Anxiety lifting slowly and sleep pattern gaining traction. It’s hard work this but seems well worth the battle. Hope you’re all OK 👍🏻 #RecoveryPosse
That’s two weeks done. Hard work that but feeling great. Incredible how much clearer the world looks and how positive situations get without the alcohol cloud. Hope you’re all good today. Week 3 come get me 🙂 #RecoveryPosse
@_xostargirl I still have a packet of 10 unopened Embassy No1 which I threw in the drawer when my daughter was born 16 years ago. I quit smoking there and then and not had one since. I can’t bring myself to throw them as they remind me of the corner I turned, for the best 🙂
