The Court of Appeal upheld the judgment of a Federal High Court, which restrained the PDP from conducting the national convention that produced Taminu Turaki as national chairman in November. 2025.

The ruling of the Oyo State High Court is academic and not binding on the Independent National Electoral Commission, which was not a party to the suit. INEC remains guided by subsisting Federal High Court judgments nullifying the November 15–16, 2026 convention.
