@msavic13@OUFYRE@Rama_K_N Congratulations!!! You are going to be awesome! We will miss @Rama_K_N a ton, but I’m so glad to see that FYRE will remain in great hands!
Another great WP article highlighting how incredible all those in the teaching profession are. Of course, I’m personally partial to DocFreeman’s interview (yay, dad!), but I’m grateful for all the amazing ways that teachers impact our lives!
Really grateful to these teachers I spoke with for a story at the beginning of the school year and reconnected with to see how their year went. (Also just really grateful to all teachers and everything they did to make learning happen this past year.) https://t.co/U4emDmtdJq
I really appreciated their interest in and concern about support for social science research in general, and for the incredible work my colleagues at @OUDeptPsych are doing in particular. #StandUp4Science#APAAdvocacy
@friarbifur@ProfessorJanet @Notawful This is how we teach at the OU Norman campus! We have redone our entire stats curriculum (in Psych, though we serve most pre-health majors) to emphasize statistical literacy, and have used GAISE as our framework for reconceptualizing the curriculum. Let’s chat more!
@Notawful @ProfAndyField Maslow would be so proud. Meanwhile, I’m listening in my car while dropping my daughter off at daycare and driving through Starbucks, so I’m clearly still at the bottom of the pyramid, as coffee = very basic need. ☕️ 📊 ☕️
Listening to Pat Shrout (NYU) speak about statistical bias and feeling inspired and reflective on statistical pedagogy. He reminds us that there is great potential for research at the interface of psychology and statistics. #50yearsofOUquantpsych#OUquinquageneraycelebration
