Everyone is rightfully outraged over migrants in Ceuta beating a baby dolphin to death, but European children are raped and killed by migrants on a daily basis and we barely see this level of fury.

It took a dolphin calf. That says something about the way our society views the value of human children.

Take the Lindsay Clancy case. She strangled her three children to death and the left and feminists all rushed to her defense.

If she had strangled three dolphin calves instead, none of them would have defended her.

There’s something deeply wrong here.

Turkish analysts and officials are supposedly worried that Greece and Israel are targeting Turkey. Yet the reality is that they are upset that their previous plan to coerce Greece militarily into giving up its rightful maritime rights (and even accept quasi turkish overlordship over east Aegean Greek islands) has not only failed but backfired spectacularly!

During much of the cold war and the '90's, the main weapons' supplier of both Greece and Turkey was the US, which meant that both countries possessed very similar weapons in terms of technology and capabilities. There was an informal understanding where there would be a rough ratio of 7(Greece)/10(Turkey) for all major systems (tanks, fighter-jets, etc.) that would maintain the regional balance.

The above ended the previous decade, with the Greek economic crisis effectively halting all acquisitions and Turkey's turn into domestic production and UAV technology. By 2020, Erdogan believed that Greece was weakened enough to be militarily pressured into submitting to his expansionist agenda, yet in the crisis that ensued the Greek armed forces proved more than capable in defending Greek sovereignty and the status quo did not change.

Yet Greece recognized the urgent need of upgrading and modernising its armed forces to a technological level superior to that of Turkey's in order to offset its quantitative disadvantage. Along of course with the need of ramping up its own domestic production of various drones and anti-drone systems, ammunition, etc. Hence the last years it developed close defence cooperation not only with the US but also France and Israel (F-35's, Rafales, FDI frigates, PULS, Achilles Shield project, etc.).

In short, Turkey is the one that changed the regional balance by producing and acquiring large amounts of primarily offensive weapons, with which it then tried to bully Greece into submission. Not only did this not work but spurred on a rapid Greek re-armaments program, along with a major diplomatic recalibration that brought us to today. Evidently the Turks do not like the current outcome, hence their frustration...

Νομίζω ότι δεν καταλάβατε τι έγινε εχθές. Το σημαντικό δεν είναι τα όπλα αυτά καθ’αυτά, το σημαντικό είναι ότι η 🇬🇷 αμυντική βιομηχανία θα κάνει catch up την Τουρκική και θα την ξεπεράσει ποιοτικά εντός τέτραετίας. Αυτό είναι πρωτοφανές για τα παγκόσμια δεδομένα, όχι τα ελληνικά.

Thank you PM Janša for your courage and clarity amidst EU hypocrisy. The EU remains silent when Turkey, a NATO member, illegally occupies half of Cyprus – an EU member! Yet when the Jewish people want to exercise their historic right to build and live in their ancestral homeland, the EU is outraged.

You reminded everyone that Slovenia is a sovereign state and an equal member of the EU. That is not a provocation. It is a right that some wish to deny.
