First PMQs of the new government is on 24 July.
If enough people vote tactically, it would be Keir Starmer vs Ed Davey.
The Tories would be on the back benches, fuming and irrelevant. As they would be for the next 5 years.
Can only happen if people vote tactically. See below.
🧵 If the Tories come third, it changes everything.
Coming second would allow them to rebuild as the official Opposition.
But third place should finish them. It may take time, but they'd be walking dead.
It would also put Brexit back on the agenda, at last.
Here's why:
1/14
Strike action in England continues until 7am tomorrow.
Junior doctors' pay has decreased by more than a quarter since 2008, while workloads and NHS waiting lists have hit record highs.
We must continue to fight for #PayRestoration so we're not forced out of the profession.
1/ NEW & IMPORTANT: Quarterly NHS pay data updated 27/6/24 👇 In BREAKING NEWS NEW charts now show ALL SECTORS have reached #FullPayRestoration (though NOT, of course, the NHS)
We MUST fix pay/retention to fix #WaitingLists
Please read whole [long bumper] 🧵 & share widely/RT
True, you have been in the room
It’s where you told us you were more afraid of what the daily mail readership would think rather than actually trying to resolve our dispute
Stellar leadership
The prime minister was wrong to say that junior doctors are the only NHS workforce in dispute. SAS doctors are currently considering an offer from Government and GPs remain in dispute over the most recent contract imposed by the Government in England. #ITVdebate
Just finished a shift In A&E.
It was lovely. Appropriately staffed so we could cope with surges but meaning staff were well rested.
Few patients attended as they were able to access the well resourced community services and so didn't need to come in for non emergencies.
Those that did attend went swiftly to the correct ward as there was the bed capacity needed to allow efficiency working.
The junior drs I supervised have left feeling respected and well remunerated
It's not just me seeing this, but colleagues up and down the country.
This morning of all days has made me realise how lucky I am to be working in a Tory run NHS.
It is not the job of the workforce to subsidise the service by working for cheap, especially when it comes to filling staffing gaps due to poor pay, terms, conditions; charge your worth or say no, do not be guilt tripped, *this is a matter of purely political choice* please RT
Time is running out for you to post your ballot back.
We need you to vote YES ❌ for strike action + YES ❌ for ASOS.
Don't let the Government claim victory. We must get 50% turnout to keep our right to strike and turn the pressure up.
⏰ Last safe posting date is TOMORROW.
Doctors, keep going 💪
This is the tenth round of junior #DoctorsStrike action in England and we will continue until we receive a credible offer on the table.
When we stick together and strike together, we will win together.
