Bend is special.
In Year 2 with the Elks, and at the heart of this entire community, I was reminded of that once again. Everyone can say the same thing about the place they work, but the Elks have created an environment that makes it impossible not to show up every day excited.
The fans: incredible. 1,000+ a night, on any given night, is something you don’t stumble across often. To then watch our fanbase grow from afar, with our online stream expanding drastically thanks to the brilliant production of @Pierce_Gordon5, was incredibly rewarding.
Seeing the vision Pierce and I had at ASU come to life in Bend was something I’ll always appreciate. But none of it would have been possible without the incredible parents, mentors, coaches, players, staff, and fans who tuned in and supported us every night. No soul goes unnoticed.
This organization is outstanding. I only hope everyone gets the opportunity to be surrounded by people this kind. Above everything else, that is what is most important.
The results on the field never tell the full story. Sometimes, that’s just baseball. But I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who allowed me into their homes each night to tell the stories of these amazing athletes and, more importantly, amazing people.
Until next time, as always. 🫎

@cschnoeb@duckscrootin@DucksRising_ Exactly.
Note, I’ve got zero skin in this other than being a fan…
I understand that reporters need to make money or there’s no reporting folks! People need to chill on this.
@PDXReech@Oregonian You’re right. But, it’s not simple vandalism. It deserves strong punishment to deter. The city has spent millions to clean up, and wasted resources that could be spent elsewhere. Graffiti is the broken window effect causing excessive downstream harm. Thankful she’s behind bars.
@Travis_DameS1de I will do the same. I won’t be watching NBA at all anymore. I’ve been a fan for decades.
Adam Silver, this is on you. I’m 100% out if so. @NBA
⚾️TUESDAY HIGHLIGHT🤩 The hour in Bend was late, but the drone was still flying. And so was the baseball, thanks to Kameron Beck (@BeaverBaseball), whose clutch 8th inning home run powered @BendBaseball to a come-from-behind win over @picklesbaseball last night:
He made his money off backs of people in dire straights. Sadly, this is more of the same. Take from society. Take advantage for personal gain at the expense of others.
The Dundon family name will certainly have a legacy, but not the type to be proud of.
Tom Dundon’s ownership group is not acting like it wants to stay in Portland.
“These are people who are not engaged.”
