@ElijahMBrown@BaptistWorld Happy birthday, AABF. We at Columbia in Falls Church, VA, and the Baptist General Association of Virginia are grateful for your partnership in Christ!
@verizonfios Yup. Same problems in McLean. Some channels out entirely. Others skipping and pixelated. Glad to know it’s not just me, but Verizon does not seem to be on the problem, and we all know their customer service is terrible.
@verizonfios If Verizon wants to duke it out with Tegna over retransmission fees, maybe that’s necessary, but you should be giving us a discount until you can give us back WUSA9. It’s a core local station. Saying, “Use an antenna” just doesn’t cut it.
@NIHDirector My sincere gratitude, Dr. Collins, both for your capable and consistent leadership and for your faithful witness. We are better because you served selflessly.
165-year-old Virginia church started by 7 abolitionists, pastor killed in Civil War by Mosby’s Raiders, now expands @ColumbiaChurch building to welcome even more people by the time the pandemic ends.
@Delta Here’s my suggestion, for what it’s worth. Extend your medallion members’ status for one year, but go the next step. Kick every member who has “status” (silver, gold, etc.) up one level in that year, and watch us all return in spades when this is all over.
@Sing4theLORD@ColumbiaChurch Today, I was using “pivot” as verb: turn on a pivot (static point). Once our biases are anchored, we pivot around then, limiting our capacity to move to truth. If Jesus becomes our pivot (n. point of attachment), we’re always anchored to truth. Assuming we rightly know Jesus!
