How we got it:

One of these networks misconfigured its website/ left its front door open, and a memeber of our team was able to walk in and take the info. They've patched it since, but not before the data was downloaded and secured.

C'è una storia piuttosto inquietante che racconta il Guardian, ma decisamente rivelatrice dell'uso che il governo di Israele fa dell'intelligenza artificiale per provare a intervenire per manipolare il dibattito pubblico (io ne so qualcosa, basta leggere i commenti ai miei post e a quanti profili falsi intervengono per attaccare quanto dico... che evidentemente da un certo fastidio a chi difende il genocidio e io ne sono orgoglioso).

In pratica, il governo israeliano ha finanziato un finto think tank americano, battezzato "Hanover Institute". E la cosa impressionante è che in soli nove giorni questo sito ha sfornato 124 rapporti falsi.

Il sito è stato costruito su una piattaforma pensata con l'obiettivo preciso di farsi citare e valutare come fonte attendibile da ChatGPT, Claude e Perplexity, sfruttando una tecnologia che promette di ottimizzare i contenuti in modo che l'intelligenza artificiale li scambi per ricerca seria e affidabile.

E infatti i titoli non sono casuali: ricalcano esattamente le domande che uno potrebbe digitare, tipo: "Israele sta commettendo un genocidio a Gaza?". E le risposte finiscono sempre per smorzare le critiche a Israele.

Chi ha pagato? i soldi sono passati dall'agenzia pubblicitaria del governo israeliano, tramite il colosso pubblicitario europeo Havas, per finire nelle tasche di appaltatori americani. Parliamo di decine di milioni di dollari, e tra i beneficiari c'è anche una società diretta da Brad Parscale, che a suo tempo era stato il manager della campagna elettorale di Trump.

La cosa più paradossale, però, è che un funzionario israeliano ha ammesso tutto e ha dichiarato a Ynet che il progetto è fallito: "Abbiamo speso molti soldi, ma la situazione è solo peggiorata."
