I read 13 this year. I’m up for a challenge. Some I didn’t see mentioned that I recommend are: Patsy (Benn), Opal & Nev (Walton), Just As I Am (Cicely Tyson), Such a Fun Age (Reid). I also re-read Their Eyes Were Watching God (Hurston) and The New Jim Crow (Alexander).
My former mentee is starting a new position in a couple of weeks. She is amazing! At lunch she surprised me with a book of retirement tributes from Leadership Institute grads. I’ll always treasure this!
My last official act as interim president for Erie County Community College was to sign an agreement with the Benedictine Sisters of Erie. This is going to be a great relationship aligning our mutual belief in the transformative power of education.
Thank you @NikenCarpenter for the great lunch at Habibi and for the tour of @CAMEriePA. This is definitely an asset I want to connect with Erie County Community College.
Thanks Chuck Gray, Director of #ImpactCorry, for inviting me to participate with educators in a brainstorming about the Innovation Hub. It was great to meet you in person!
