The quite prolific Jamie Carter has written an article on the next opportunity to experience totality - only 100 days to go. Normally I'm going to EVERY total eclipse, and if circumstances... https://t.co/03ijfc4XgV
Earlier today I recorded a podcast with BBC Planet Earth - was great to be talking eclipses again. Thanks to ABC North Queensland for facilitating the link up. I will post again when the podcast is due to be broadcast.
It’s a sad world we live in when nature events and things of outstanding beauty such as a #totallunareclipse have to be ‘oversold’ and dramatised in the media.... https://t.co/3J3vmTiz7I
In about 14 hours from now, the next total lunar eclipse will be visible for many - but not from Australia as seen in this graphic.
Good luck to all my chaser friends who will be viewing this, mostly in the northern hemisphere. https://t.co/NDIj8s1P9I
I only just stumbled across this 2 minute 'making of' clip from the short film Souls of Totality, directed by Richard Raymond. Fascinating - and worth a watch.
The small cast and crew traveled to Oregon for the total eclipse of August 2017, and... https://t.co/DymSLWhr2k
My heart goes out to everyone in Palu in Indonesia. We stayed in Palu for about a week for the March 2016 total eclipse. I met many locals as part of my own eclipse outreach activities. They were kind,... https://t.co/AvUMybSH6g
For the past several months, our family have come together to support my dad through the horrible impact of terminal bowel cancer. Sadly, he drew his final breath last night, as we all sat with him. We are... https://t.co/h6rDMeTdBx
It's been some time since I have posted.
Sadly, my father is in the final stages of his battle with bowel cancer.

Just returned from two days in Limerick presenting a symposium about resiliency to dermatologists across Ireland, sponsored by AbbVie. Wonderful to be back in Ireland and doing psychology again, and great to see old colleagues again.
Day 33 of 39 day cruise with the #Astor. Peering into the Bandama Crater on Gran Canaria, which is an impressive 1km across. I’m still moving - but we have just had 9 sea days. But it’s so good to be on land again!
Today after a dramatic start we landed on the wonderfully remote island of St Helena in the Atlantic. Wonderful!! So much to say but so little internet time... now 9 sea days until our next port.
Yesterday - I saw the green flash at sunset for the first time on this cruise. Woohoo!!! . #excited and beautiful stars last night too. What a wonderful world.
My #Authorworkshops On board the #Astor are going very well. Great group of 21 people who are really enjoying the daily writing sessions. We laugh, we learn, we write, we laugh some more. I just love leading workshops. #happy
Day 15 of our 39 day cross-the-world journey. Today we have reached #Durban after a pretty rough evening where we were at a rather jaunty angle for a few hours. Still haven’t managed to find my sea legs on land!
Greetings from Reunion!! We have crossed the Indian Ocean and are enjoying a few land days. I’m swaying when on land... what an epic journey. I think we still have about 30 days to go before we hit London. Biggest challenge - finding internet to keep in touch.
