2025 Cohort: 1,147 Medical Officer interns posted.
2026 Cohort: 875 Medical Officer interns posted.
That is a deficit of 272 MO slots compared to last year. With medical schools consistently graduating more doctors, where did the rest of the cohort go? Are we pretending the deficit vanished, or are hundreds of pre-interns quietly being deferred into another round of frustrating limbo despite the multi-billion shilling budget?
