@BillFoxMD Second paragraph telling though. “Medical groups income increasing more than physician’s. Value based programs still require a lot of overhead costs for practices.

@RosenthalHealth Valued for their time. Someone coming out of a family practice residency with loans to repay should be able to make a reasonable salary.
@RosenthalHealth This invites a much more in-depth discussion on physician compensation in general- I think many PCPs have embraced phone and telehealth to help maintain their modest income relative to other specialties. I don’t think it makes a huge difference. The problem is that PCPs are not

@Farzad_MD Until value based care plans recognize that independent practices need better timely reimbursement to pay the increased staff needed and retain docs, I don’t see it as a solution.
@BillFoxMD I don’t see either as attractive options. The first seems as though you would be competing with subspecialists and the second would lack any potential to develop patient relationships.
@PreetBharara Love this show, but couldn’t help but comment on the almond discussion on the last episode. Given that huge amount of water required to grow almonds and the extreme water shortage issues in California where almonds are grown I would favor oat milk!
@Farzad_MD@healthtechnerds In a capitalistic system the incentive is still profits , what do you expect? Once s as gain the independent primary care practice and the parent get left behind, it’s all about big business.
@ItsJesseMahoney @AmericanAir Still very little information from them. Don’t really understand how two bags can be checked at the same time and one makes it to its destination and one appears to be lost
@AmericanAir very upset with our family’s lost luggage this week. American left our bag carrying needed medications and medical equipment in Charlotte, not clear why they cannot get it to our destination. Will think long and hard about flying American next time.

“Why is it necessary to provide evidence to disprove a conspiracy theory, but the conspiracy theory requires no evidence for you to believe it...?”
