A total of 9 488 foreign nationals have now been repatriated and deported from the Durban Drive-In site in an orderly, lawful and humane manner. An estimated 7 000 individuals remain at this site, although more people do arrive even as verification and operations continue. The Sherwood site has been cleared.
The Malawian nationals who were left stranded at Newlands in Johannesburg have also all been repatriated after Home Affairs stepped in to assist.
In Pietermaritzburg, 657 people have been repatriated from a site with inhumane conditions, and operations will continue into the night.
Home Affairs and the IMC continues to collaborate with colleagues across all spheres of government to ensure a well-managed process, while reaffirming that no person may engage in violence, incitement or infringe on the dignity of any other human being.
@mrskmabuza@HomeAffairsSA Correct, there is no government directive, law, or official notice that sets 30 June as a general deadline for foreign nationals to leave South Africa.
Hopefully youโll also grade the criteria to include expertise in business so that weโre not subjected to these ECD capacity support programs that take away our valuable time and attention from the business.
Iโd love to discuss a collaboration with @molomhlaba sometime soon. But please start with my favourite being the come back kid it deserves for @DRIP_rsa ๐ฏ๏ธ๐
In the 12 months of us working on a strategy to bring @DRIP_rsa back, we engaged a lot of retailers to sell our products in, instead of us opening our own.
One thing i can tell you is, we need young people to tap into retail. And we also need young people to start brands that focus on the Low-Mid markets.
With our brand (Drip) we were more Mid-High. But we need Low-Mid brands. A youth owned brand that can sell a shoe for R399 or R599.
@Kolie_Yola Yhoo Doc, I remember this phase of my life. Birthed two humans, started @molomhlaba and still bagged that thang in record time and walked out with itshoba lam. ๐ญ๐ญ๐ช๐พ
@talkcentss@elonmusk Worry yam is heโs so focused on SA and forgets that sisNandi in Namibia also declined starlink just last month. Sbwl to know who he was offering the fronting for the bribes ke ngoku. ๐ฉ
Lol. Her handlers agreed to a meeting not a decision. Looking at the paving on the floor of BLACK leaders in the DA. Youโll see lots of black and spots of red of their political blood. But ke sisi, wena siyakuvuma MaZulu.
I had a very progressive meeting with the Minister of Education @Siviwe_G . this morning โผ๏ธ๐๐ป One day soon no South African child will ever be left out of school, not in this lifetime ๐ฟ๐ฆโค๏ธโ๐ป

Having a job and living alone is such a crazy combo. You go home, shower, eat, scroll through your phone, and stay silent until you talk to someone at work the next day.
