I'm not American (and a bit tired of America's culture wars being played out here) but when it comes to the big global issues - trade, Nato & Ukraine - Trump would be a disaster for the world. Harris is also a far better person, so I hope she wins. https://t.co/BuNQLUNDnb
Returned a few days ago from a once-in-a-lifetime trip to @valdisere. Big thanks to the tourist board, as well as Evolution 2, Less Airelles and Hôtel Chalet Mont Blanc.
Here's my final Advent photo taken in @WestminsterCath. Certainly not my best shot, but I hope it encapsulates what the Advent period is all about. Have a Merry Christmas. Happy New Year and may 2024 be the best ever. #AdventCalendar#MerryChristmas#westminstercathedral
This penultimate Advent photo comes from Greenwich Park, near where I grew up, (and not too far from where I am now). It was taken early in the year just outside the (currently empty) deer park. #AdventCalendar#greenwichpark#urbanfox
One of the great things about living in London is the sheer variety of events. This Advent photo comes from the commemoration of Charles I's execution held every year on the last Sunday in January by the King's Army of the English Civil War Society. #AdventCalendar
Despite the winter sniffles, here's the next Advent photo from KDC's Hamlet: A Chamber Play, directed by Karack Osborn, which came up with the really innovative idea of having everyone play Hamlet. In this case, Janina Enrile gazes on the crown. #AdventCalendar2023
For my next Advent photo, I'm including a photo of Durham - where I did my undergrad. It's not immediately obvious, but there's a park just above the railway station. Sadly, the view is partially obscured by trees, but you can still see the Cathedral. #adventcalendar
Next Advent Photo is from @SLTheatre "Summer Shorts" which I photographed in the summer. Here's Barry Heselden experiencing the bitter taste of defeat in "The Transition". #adventcalendar

Another photograph with a medium format camera for today's Advent calendar picture. This time it was one from a @wextweets @FujifilmUKworkshop with @JoSaxphoto - certainly lived up to its name! #AdventCalendar
The next Advent photo is from another photography workshop, this time on creative portraiture. Tried a variety of things, including one inspired by "Silence of the Lambs", but this is the one I liked best. #AdventCalendar@Ian__Munro@wextweets
This Advent photo is from another one of the plays that I photographed this year "Nevernatal", a comedy at the Hen and Chickens in Islington, with @FloraOgilvy. It was later taken to the Edinburgh Fringe. #adventcalendar
Another Advent photo. This was taken during a trip in the autumn to Stratford. While I saw the RSC's production of Macbeth, photo-wise the highlight was a trip to a butterfly house @StratButterfly where I took this shot. #AdventCalendar
Another Advent Photo - Every year there is a big re-enactment of the Battle of Tewkesbury of 4 May 1471 (though the festival itself takes place in July), which It attracts a lot of re-enactors. while the troops were lining up I managed to get this shot. #AdventCalendar
The next Advent photo is from this year's Edinburgh Fringe. Usually the Royal Mile has quite a few people handing out leaflets to promote their shows, which provide good photo ops. This one I was a production of "The Importance of Being Earnest". #AdventCalendar#edfringe
Another Advent photo - from a pet photography workshop that I took in the spring. I don't have a dog now but when I was 8 my family did an exchange with a Professor in Colorado Springs for six months, so we looked after a rough collie (think "Lassie") named Roo. #AdventCalendar
The next Advent photo is one that I took at a workshop at @wextweets where I got the chance to play around with a medium format camera (an ultra-large camera designed for portraiture). #AdventCalendar
The next Advent photo - from "A Package Deal", the KDC New Writing show in the summer. As well as photographing it, one of my pieces "The Language of Money" also appeared. Here's a shot of Peadar Donnelly pondering how to sort out the "Barney Rubble". #AdventCalendar
My next Advent photo is of a parakeet in Hyde Park. While the spot where they used to congregate near the Peter Pan statue is now closed, they have reassembled on on the other side of the Serpentine, between the Italian Gardens and the bridge. #adventcalendar#parakeet
