Back in Chicago where I first learned medicine, with my dad the guy who first taught me medicine!
At ACP when I looked around the room it dawned on me that this group of internists collectively took care of over a million COVID-19 patients. A very “IM Proud” moment! #ACP2022
@Homecare_Hub has closed our seed round and grateful to have support from a "Dream Team" of top US & Canadian health systems, the world’s largest organization for older adults, arguably the globe’s top neurocognitive research organization, and a world-class tech marketplace fund
Proud South Asian moment! When I played competitive ball in Toronto growing up, I could count the number of indians on one hand that I played against across the province - surely we each thought we might be the first MLB South Asian. Decades later @arjun_baseball_ is gonna do it!
When you think of healthcare innovators, think no further than @DrNikore
From IBM to Citibank to Sun Microsystems, he's always been one step ahead of the curve.
Part 1 of Med Tech Talks with Vipan Nikore is out now! Check it out here - https://t.co/DBd6CAaWxA
Thank you THP for clearing up to the public what most of us at the hospital who are friends and colleagues with these MD's have known. Their families should be able to peacefully mourn the loss of their loved ones, instead of hearing about ridiculous rumors with zero merit.
It is with deep sadness that THP mourns the loss of three of our physicians who recently passed away.
Dr. Jakub Sawicki, Dr. Stephen McKenzie and Dr. Lorne Segall were respected physicians who dedicated their lives to caring for their patients and community.
At @Homecare_Hub we recently launched our Markham, ON small scale Shared Living & Care home. This Thurs July 14, 2022 from 11am-1pm enjoy lunch and a tour of this alternative to Long Term Care or Assisted Living. RSVP here https://t.co/aIE4xcTzn1, or email [email protected]
Two and a half years after canceling my first TD event, finally had an opportunity to attend the #tdreunited celebration and watch TD light up the heart of downtown Toronto with our own mayor @JohnTory, Blue Rodeo, and others. Nothing like connecting in person with great people.
Very nice memorial for Paul Farmer on the weekend:

Dr. Farmer was a giant in global health, and a personal inspiration for me. Dug up these from my first trip to his hospital in Haiti, and my first encounter with him (with my good friend Jay Bhatt beside)
Just spent the weekend treating a couple dozen COVID-19 patients and transferring patients across the province because of hospital capacity. I couldn't be more pleased to see this approval. Another option to help us get through this: https://t.co/Kih2z2QfPC
After years of work behind the scenes by so many people, yesterday we announced we are building Canada's biggest hospital here at @THP_hospital, almost 1000 beds and 22 storeys high. A welcomed relief and important investment!

Thanks to the @nationalpost for this piece on how @Homecare_Hub adapted as a startup through the pandemic, and survived to now fulfill our mission of providing innovative Shared Living & Care solutions for seniors (https://t.co/hClz38fRUO). Article here: https://t.co/vUsnTriTkz
21 months after my last in-person talk, it was nice to finally iron my pants and speak at the International Federation on Ageing conference on driving innovation into the senior care space and the Homecare Hub Shared Living & Care model. Thanks to IFA for a great conference!
So frustrating
Why do these "mix-ups" keep happening to Ivermectin studies?
I'm sure it's just a coincidence that so many of these studies highly touted on Twitter and Facebook end up getting retracted
Do people need access to machine guns? We need to decrease access to guns and stop gun violence. There is no excuse for our world tolerating such gun violence.
I was at this drive by shooting scene sitting outside the Starbucks. I heard the sound of a machine gun, turned and saw a man in the back passenger window spraying bullets. I dove and hit the deck and sprawled on the ground. I was safe, but unfortunately 4 innocent people weren't
