-> try to charge people $20 or anywhere close to it.
At the same time, if you finish the game... don't refund? You completed the experience you paid for and unless it literally just didn't work or was a scam you did get what you paid for.
I've seen a bunch of people saying "Well that's on you the game is too short" yet people pay $ 15-20 for an 1;30 movie but not for games?
Shorter narrative experiences should be encouraged, but also priced accordingly. If you make a short game, that's fine, but don't ->
This should not be possible @Steam
Would be cool if you could finally do something about your refund policy... Got dozens of reviews like that and 21% refund rate even though the Reviews are 90% very positive...
Thats over 55,000 Refunds btw...
@blink4life13@drewlevin@ejmarchini Do you watch soccer/football? This happened recently where FIFA canceled Ronaldo's suspension. Also the red literally went against FIFA's own rules and every expert said it never should've been a red.
@drewlevin@ejmarchini -> right call is made on the field.
Better to rectify a bad call then keep it in place and potentially ruin a team's tournament. Unfair to Belgium, sure, but unfair to US if it stayed in place.
@drewlevin@ejmarchini No disagreement it should've been overturned sooner. I think practically everyone agrees there, but FIFAs rules around appealing cards are spotty at best. From what I understand the USMNT couldn't even appeal, it had to go through separate channels. But it never happens if the ->
@drewlevin@ejmarchini Seems like the right call though, no? It never should've been a red card the punishment is still in place it's just suspended. The corruption seems like it would stem more from the Refs themselves... but yes FIFA is a corrupt org
@TheGennadiy@AnthropicAI Yeah it's super high right now which is (hopefully) a bug, but I wouldn't be shocked if in general it's price point is drastically higher relative to the other models.
@Ninja_with_no_L Unfortunately been the trend the last ~3 years or so. The quantity of associate roles has diminished and what we tend to see now is those roles are often filled with more experienced talent that before. Not true entry level, basically.
Rough market
@EracuStudios No reviews basically kill a game. I think the metric is somewhere around ~200 is the breakpoint though I may be misremembering. Far better to have a reviewed game, though bad, than a game no one played.
@Danjyslr@FOXSoccer@MelissaMOrtiz@SachaKljestan@bguzan@MauriceEdu My understanding is VAR can only be used on goal scoring opportunities (e.g. offsides), hand balls, mouth covering, and extreme danger tackles. It cannot be used to escalate a card or call. So because no card was given right away, it can't then be changed to red.
Today Erin Catto announced the release of Box3D, an open source 3D physics engine. We're proud to be one of the first games running on it. Congrats, @erin_catto !

-> the miracle of @Hytale being repurchased, but that was also nearly a year ago.
I hope that we can see a dramatic shift in consumers regaining control and some semblance of hope emerging from all these layoffs and just downright horrible decisions.
It's such a bleak time in the industry it's hard to find good news in games. Studios shut down, layoffs, removing discs, and so many other things.
We need more good, but it's hard to find any.
The only good these days seems to be indies succeeding and maybe ->
