Thank you @Nmozz@StylistMagazine for speaking to me about the #ambitiontrap many #Black#Women experience. Pressures to #succeed can be motivating, however, when combined with #racism it can can be psychologically harmful & have the opposite effect.

A hairstyle can say a lot, and it can hide a lot. Thank you @TanyelMustafa@MetroUK for speaking to me about the relationship between our hair, identity and our sense of self. https://t.co/RjXWZzDiIX
@DrLucySHale@Dr_C_Huckle Thank you @DrLucySHale. It was a privilege & a pleasure working with you & the supervisor group. Thank you @Dr_C_Huckle for organising the training. I look forward to working with the next cohort of @UoSPsychD supervisors later in the year.
You don't need to go "cold turkey" to manage news-related stress. Protect your mental health with these small steps:
• Turn off notifications
• Limit social media scrolling to 15 minutes
• No-screens policy for mealtimes
• Find ways to take action https://t.co/ZgJd3b0ZL4
Thank you to @TanyelMustafa@MetroUK for speaking with me about the impact of 'beauty filters'. This is an important issue as it can have an impact on how we see/value ourselves & our #mentalhealth. https://t.co/6RqTnA8jev
I've written a piece reflecting on @hannahsbee much needed book 'Time to Think'. Using the lens of the fairytale Hansel and Gretel and to try and consider some of the processes that may have been occurring. #TherpaistsConnect https://t.co/C1SRt584PD
I schedule walks & bike rides in my diary - the same way that I schedule meetings & 1-1s with my team.
Personal development is mostly ensuring you consistently do the things that make you feel good, long-term. If you're planning the week ahead, remember what's important.
You can’t be a part-time person of principle.
You can’t choose to work towards what is right only when it feels good.
Being a person of principle means standing accountable and fighting for change even when it feels uncomfortable.
Especially when it feels uncomfortable.
Why can work sometimes feel so awful, yet so hard to walk away from?
Just in case anyone needs to read this today.

Thank you @hannahefox_@BazaarUK for speaking to me about the reasons why people do not seek therapy e.g. #mentalhealth#impostorsyndrome. #Therapy is #selfcare & a personal investment. There is no problem that would not benefit from being spoken about. https://t.co/widPCfPT7h
@KByrdie Hello @KByrdie. I am a UK based #HCPC clinical psychologist. If you are open to UK sources, I would be happy to talk to you about this important and often neglected issue. Death, grief and sadness is something that affects us all.
"Why do we look for curses & conspiracies in celebrity deaths?” I spoke to @MCChappet@indepent about this phenomenon. Thank you @MCChappet for exploring how we make sense of death - an unavoidable & painful aspect of the human experience.
