I agree Joe @contextconsult . It's amazing to hear so many athletes talking about the value of psychology. I loved the way Beth Shriever, who won the first round of BMX racing events, noted afterwards that it was now a mental event. She was incredible, what an awesome woman. ⭐️
@damien_page @slbsamantha From a nervous system perspective, it makes a lot of sense to allow people to have personal items on desks, to create a sense of "safety". Wld be interesting to study the impact of returning to the two types of desks (with/ without personal items) after a stressful meeting etc.

I couldn't agree more with this. It's so important to tune in to, and listen to, our bodies. It's often harder to step back than to keep moving, if it involves confronting difficult feelings. Staying busy / keeping going can be a way of avoiding feelings.
Stop glorifying the person who keeps going and going. Even when they’re sick, stressed, or going through grief. True strength is in the ability to take a step back so your body can repair and your emotions can process.
📢Would you like to learn how to manage your stress better by understanding more about how your nervous system works and how you can regulate it?

Gentle reminder.
It's so easy to get in our own way. To avoid taking actions that would take us closer to the life we want and the person we'd like to be.
Action leads to motivation.
You don't need motivation to take action.
Take a small step and the rest will follow.

Morning everyone hope you are well. With all the rain we've had in the Lake District recently, why not head for a cave? It's a little bit drier! View looking out of Rydal Cave towards Nab Scar. Have a great day. #LakeDistrict@keswickbootco
@lakesrhino@keswickbootco Beautiful photograph. I was just reading an interesting research article highlighting the positive impact of looking at photographs of green spaces on our nervous system. 😊
