They always find those of us that are not really for us! I've said it a thousand times. You can find them in EVERY organization, company, institution, etc. Some of them will almost have you thinking they are brave opponents of racism. THEY AINT!
Black male porters in the 1900s endured close quarters racism. They were expected to be ornaments and silient servers to white travelers who wanted luxury.
In spite of the mistreatment, porters used the railways to organize, spread news, & uplift their communities.
@Outback Madison, TN, server refused to wait on me for 25 minutes, multiple stops at tables next to/around me, walked past me, asked for mgr., saw server talk to Alex, who didn't come until I was at door; asked for mgr., Thomas Hickson, who was there, but he never came. Horrible
Entered Surati Indian Street Food (Nolensville Rd. Nashville, TN) and was met with blatant disrespect and completely ignored, so I left rather than handle it in front of the 7 y/o. Will never come back and would not recommend.
