@ee_reilly @EvelynBehar Looks like you have a number of promising responses, but I also have data on IU and a behavioral decision making task in a sample of patients with OCD. Let me know if you’re still looking for presenters!
@LaurenSHallion similar in that the initial worry pops in, but also there's the cognitive worry process of mulling over that fear again and again. Thus, I’ve been grappling with what treatment strategies (e.g., mindfulness) help across all facets of RNT, and what about OCD might be unique. 3/3
@LaurenSHallion Similar to @OCDMaryland and @arjavanbakht, I think in OCD we make the helpful distinction between the obsessive thought that pops into mind and then the mental rituals (e.g., neutralizing, self-reassuring, mental reviewing) one does to reduce the anxiety. But I see worry as 2/3
@LaurenSHallion Sometimes I see this as being very clear distinction (i.e., obsessions being more ego-dystonic and tied to a specific fear vs. being syntonic and diffuse) but I also see a lot of similarity in terms of the repetitive thought process being intrusive, unwanted, interfering etc. 1/3
