According to Cleaning The Glass...
Kawhi Leonard's on/off court rating was +14.4, 3rd *best* in the league (behind only Jokic & Wemby).
Brandon Ingram's was -9.0, 3rd *worst* in the league.
Just an unreal contrast in productivity.
The Raptors had to thread an impossible needle. They needed to:
1) Improve their team despite having tough/big contracts to move
2) Not trade their crop of prospects or gut their draft capital while improving
3) Make that trade in a timely manner
They've achieved all of that by adding, at his best, one of the best players in the NBA in Kawhi Leonard.
Picks be damned. It's a home run without hurting their future.
Sources: Yankees considering trade/FA options for potential righty hitting OF bat, including Randal Grichuk, and earlier this offseason they made an offer to Austin Slater.
