We're about to hear the outcome of Mark Butler’s “unleashing the power of the medical workforce”review & I expect it will come out saying that any health professional who thinks they’re good enough can pop up their shingle & be a GP substitute. It’s happening already. Is this OK?
What a goose: bankrupted by a policy that hasn’t come it yet!?! 🤣🤣🤣
(I know good pharmacists btw. Not all will be carrying on like pork chops about this issue)

'They don't give a s***': Pharmacy Guild president Trent Twomey was brought to tears over government changes to prescription medication rules.

Dr Nick - this is the single biggest threat to general practice & affordable patient care. NSW political parties were completely silent leading up to the election - cowards. It’s guaranteed my practices will increase fees by $15+ immediately. @RACGPPresident@RACGP#sicktax
Strongly agree with @amapresident It's hard to see this as anything other than a play by States and Territories to cost shift Medicare money into their treasuries. It will make primary care more expensive and erode any benefit from rebate increases. It's a tax on patients.
Say no to the #sicktax. Still waiting to hear from @NSWLabor@nswliberalhq about their stance on #payrolltax for GPs. Their silence is telling: THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU AS A PATIENT. they don’t care about how much it costs you.
Our health system is in crisis and we need action. As @savannahmeacham reports - more and more practices are walking away from bulk billing. The solution lies in boosting investment in general practice care so that no patients are left behind. #Medicare https://t.co/zUWiEBZ8mf
The situation is growing desperate. Governments must act now to stop this new Sick Tax in its tracks. Otherwise, practices will have little choice but to charge patients more or shut up shop for good. #SickTax
So @NSWLabor@nswliberalhq what are you going to do? Big election coming up: who gets my vote? This issue needs an immediate solution. If you don’t YOU ATE INCREASING PATIENT COSTS. #AUSPOL
The Sick Tax will cripple general practice care. As @RACGP Mid North NSW Coast GP Dr Deb King told @JonesAlexandraR and Luisa Rubbo - smaller practices will be hit hardest, meaning regional and rural areas already starved of doctors will suffer the most. https://t.co/83BrXe6oPC
