I was reminded of the importance of this week's United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) women's health event.
Let us come together to provide women and families with access to contraception.
#worldcontraceptionday#womenshealth#UNFPA#UNGA2024
I hope for a day when every woman has access to suitable contraception.
My final project in medical school was on this topic, and access to contraception was restricted in terms of literacy, culture, and availability. It still is today.
Do you know the what these are? Do you know the difference between each of them?
Every woman should have access to good quality, reproductive care.
Book a consultation in our Lagos clinic to discuss.

How is your mental health? How do you keep mentally fit?
We recommend:
1. Moving more. Dance, walk, jog, stand.
2. Making emotional connections with family, friends, neighbours.
3. Seek help.
4. Watch my YouTube video and subscribe to the channel. Link in story.

4. You can balance things out by eating colourful fruit and veg (washed), increasing fibre, reducing stress, regular eating schedule, and considering supplements like symprove.
@symprove
Starting my second month on Symprove. (No conflict of interest)
Here is what I’ve learnt so far about gut microbiome:
1. Your microbiome is unique to you and includes bacteria, fungi and viruses that live in your gastrointestinal tract.
3. Symptoms of an imbalance include bloating, constipation, fatigue, and reflux. It is also linked with conditions like obesity, diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, IBS etc.
We are here to remind you to keep your physical, mental and spiritual wellness on your list of priorities.
How do you keep yourself well?

Hey everyone! We hope you're having a fantastic start to your week! ✨ Did you know that the Beyond Wealth Scholarship isn't just about the cash reward at the end? 🏆 It's a reward in itself! Each scholar receives maximum attention and support throughout the program journey.
We had a great time on this session with @doctorsonairng. We discussed "Sexual and Reproductive Health for Teens - What to Know" with Dr. Olukayode Oguntimehin; Medical Director, Medicentre Clinics, Lagos.

Having a pelvic examination or a breast examination puts women in a very vulnerable position.
For doctors, it may just be another examination which you wouldn't remember tomorrow, but for that patient, it is pretty challenging.
I teach my students to go the extra mile.
-Offer her privacy to get changed
-Provide a chaperone
-Provide a disposable sheet to cover her
-Only expose where you are examining
-No unnecessary conversations
-Do not be insensitive.
Explain your findings and develop a shared plan when she is fully dressed and sits back down.
