@TRitzmann @NHSDigital Thanks Tim, now we just need to get to get more data out, including for different brain tumours types (currently GDO just aggregates all paediatric brain tumours together)
Great pleasure to present our work on comparing routinely collected healthcare data from @NHSDigital get data project with a dedicated prospective study (IMPORT) at #SIOP2023. The renal session was very well attended as always :)
They removed points for intercalated degrees in the name of widening participation whilst rewarding playing sport at an international level, having money to set up a business & volunteer, and directing plays. Make it make sense😭 Absolutely reeks of privilege
Use of high-flow may increase length of stay (and highly likely not to decrease it)
All decisions have context.
Might make you feel better in ED that you've 'done something' but actually you are making the patient experience worse...

@kjmac215 Absolutely. There is also definitely more work to be done on whether there could be more cases where homecare would be appropriate - its a balancing act of risk
Febrile neutropenia remains a medical emergency, but after prompt inpatient management some children can be safely managed with oral antibiotics at home

@DrPHO_ID@drjessmorgan@drbobphillips @Jessica_Bate @ashleysgamble@gabhaeusler @CCLG_UK @POTGUK1 I can only speak for my centre - if there were times that our community nursing team couldn't do the daily telephone follow up, the ward medical team would do them instead. Just added the patient to the ward handover list to avoid them being forgotten

Interesting that the age of bronchiolitis in BRONCHSTART not significantly different to pre-pandemic levels. It hasn't felt like that on the ground, but could be a salience bias (the older bronchs are more memorable) @DrAdamLawton
@JustinDaniels15 @NorthMidNHS @drvic@Dhruv_Rastogi Thanks Justin. Was very much an MDT effort. Was also told as part of pharmacy approvals process that no other trusts in area were having issues with sedation - since publication have had 3 got in touch to ask if we can share our expertise :)
