Weaponization of the Legal System
One of the common elements of all tyrannical governments is the weaponization of the legal system. Once the executive branch of the government, namely "the President," has sufficient influence over judges, they can use that influence to remain in power and commit crimes with impunity. Maduro in Venezuela, for example, uses the courts to prosecute his electoral opponents to neutralize them, then discredits the opponent by publicly claiming that he or she is a criminal. Sounds familiar? If you haven't noticed that such practices are already happening in the USA, then you better start looking for additional sources of information because the current government is doing it in plain sight.
