@DrLMRobinson I’ve worked for the State of CA for 15 years. I had to provide my transcripts when I was promoted last year. The job had the same ed req. as the position I’d held for over a decade. Ostensibly, it’s to make sure your coursework is relevant to the position. 🙄

California scientist’s union contract has been expired since July 1, 2020. Salaries were cut 10% for a year, restored July 1, 2021, and have remained stagnant. For nearly two years, State scientists have been completely ignored. @GovPressOffice this is how much you value science.
@capsscientists I served as the subject matter expert regarding how underpaid PhDs are by the state to CalHR almost two years ago. We are expanding our environmental efforts and want to attract new talented scientists but the State isn’t willing to pay us what we deserve.
