I am unbothered by the paid propaganda Modi does on his birthday and the remaining days of the year. Modi is the present; you can't change him or his insecurities.

What's more worrisome is the playbook he leaves behind for future leaders and young politicians, across party lines. Modi is setting a precedence for each one of them on how they can misuse state machinery and stretch their powers for their own publicity. They are all learning.

I already see many young people following in his footsteps for publicity, at all levels. This worries me more than anything.
