🚨 HOW TO GET DISCOUNTED PETROL 🚨

The Ministry of Information Technology has announced the registration procedure for the Prime Minister’s petrol relief scheme for bikes, rickshaws, Qingqis and small cars.

Who Can Get It:

- Motorcycles, rickshaws and Qingqis, Rs100 off per litre on up to 20 litres per month (max saving Rs2,000).

- Cars up to 800cc: Rs100 off per litre on up to 30 litres per month (max saving Rs3,000).

How To Register:

1. Send SMS: `REG` + your CNIC number to 9771.

2. Also send your vehicle number, provincial code and registration date.

3. After registration, send `TOK` to 9771 to get your fuel token.

4. Show the token at the petrol pump to get the discount.

When It Starts:

- Islamabad: from the night between Monday and Tuesday (15 September).

- Rest of Pakistan (including AJK and GB), from the night between Wednesday and Thursday (17 September).

A hydrogen-powered e-bike that can run up to 100 km on one refill? 👀

Spotted this hydrogen-powered shared e-bike at an exhibition in Beijing, and it immediately made me think of Pakistan’s huge two-wheeler market.

Developed by Beijing Qingzhou New Energy Technology, the bike uses solid-state hydrogen storage. According to the company, one hydrogen refill can support around 70–100 km of riding, while the hydrogen cartridge can be replaced in just 20 seconds.

That sounds especially interesting for countries like Pakistan, where motorcycles are one of the most common forms of daily transport and rising fuel costs remain a concern for millions of commuters.

Of course, hydrogen mobility is still far from becoming mainstream. The real questions are whether the hydrogen can be produced cheaply, how the refuelling network would work, and whether the total cost could compete with petrol bikes and increasingly affordable electric motorcycles.

But imagine this: instead of waiting for a battery to charge, you simply swap a hydrogen cartridge and ride another 70–100 km.

Could hydrogen bikes ever find a market in Pakistan — or will battery-powered EVs win the two-wheeler race? 🇵🇰⚡️
