آرٹیکل کے اُردو ترجمہ سے پہلے یہ جان لیں کہ کیچ 22 کس کو کہا جاتا ہے
"ایسے حالات جب انسان اپنے لئے کسی بھی راستے کا انتخاب کرے وہ اُسکے خلاف جاتا ہے، انسان چاہ کر بھی اپنے حق میں بہتر نہیں کرسکتا ایسے حالات کو کیچ 22 کہتے ہیں"

ذوالفقار علی بھٹو 51 سال کے تھے جب انہیں تختہ دار کیا گیا، بے نظیر بھٹو 54 سال کی تھیں جب انہیں مار دیا گیا، عمران خان اب 75 سال کے ہیں، وہ اپنی عمر کے زیادہ تر مردوں سے جسمانی طور پر زیادہ فِٹ نظر آتے ہیں، کرکٹ سے ریٹائر ہونے کے بعد بھی انہوں نے ورزش کرنا کبھی ترک نہیں کیا، اور رپورٹس کہتی ہیں کہ وہ روزانہ جیل میں ورزش جاری رکھے ہوئے ہیں

انہیں اپنی پسند کا کھانا بھی فراہم کیا جا رہا ہے، لیکن محض جسمانی فٹنس ایک انسان کو عمر کے اس حصے میں قید کے بوجھ، خاص طور پر نفسیاتی دباؤ، سے بچا نہیں سکتا

پاکستان کے اندر بھی ان کے خلاف احتجاج میں شدت آئی جب ان کی گرفتاری کے بعد ملک بھر میں مظاہرے ہوئے

عوامی غم و غصے کے اس پیمانے نے یہ جھلک دکھائی کہ اگر ان کی حالت مزید خراب ہو جائے، یا بدتر ہو جائے تو اس کا نتیجہ کیا ہو سکتا ہے

اب فوج کے سربراہ فیلڈ مارشل عاصم منیر ایک ایسے مخمصے (Catch-22) میں پھنستے نظر آتے ہیں جو بھٹو کے تختہ دار کے وقت کی صورتحال سے ملتا ہے، بھٹو کے معاملے میں جنرل ضیاء الحق نے کہا تھا یا تو بھٹو جینا چاہیے، یا وہ خود بچ سکتا ہے، ضیاء نے سمجھا کہ زندہ بھٹو ان کی حکمرانی کے لیے سیاسی طور پر تباہ کن ہوگا

لیکن عاصم منیر اپنے لیے ایک Catch-22 صورتحال میں ہیں، چاہے خان مرے یا زندہ رہے، وہ ان کے لیے خطرناک ہے

جتنی دیر خان قید میں رہے گا، اتنا ہی ان کی صحت اور ملک کی سیاسی استحکام ایک دوسرے سے الگ نظر نہیں آئیں گے، ہر طبی رپورٹ، ہر افواہ ان کی حالت کے بارے میں، شکاری اور مزاحمت کی ایک بڑی داستان کو مزید پمپ کرتی ہے

بالآخر سوال صرف ایک شخص کی صحت کے بارے میں نہیں ہے، بلکہ یہ سوال ہے کہ آیا ریاست اختلاف رائے کو اس طرح سنبھال سکتی ہے کہ وہ ایک ایسی شخصیت پیدا نہ کرے جس کی قید آزادی سے زیادہ طاقتور بن جائے

Imran Khan's contributions to the game are universally admired. As captain, he led Pakistan to their historic 1992 Cricket World Cup victory - a triumph built on skill, resilience, leadership, and sportsmanship that inspired generations across borders.

Many of us competed against him, shared the field with him, or grew up idolizing his all-round brilliance, charisma, and competitive spirit. He remains one of the finest all-rounders and captains the sport has ever seen, earning respect from players, fans, and administrators alike.

Beyond cricket, Imran Khan served as Prime Minister of Pakistan, leading his nation during a challenging period. Regardless of political perspectives, he holds the honour of having been democratically elected to the highest office in his country.

Recent reports concerning his health - particularly the alarming deterioration of his vision while in custody - and the conditions of his imprisonment over the past two and a half years have caused us profound concern.

As fellow cricketers who understand the values of fair play, honour, and respect that transcend the boundary rope, we believe that a person of Imran Khan's stature deserves to be treated with the dignity and basic human consideration befitting a former national leader and a global sporting icon.

We respectfully urge the Government of Pakistan to ensure that Imran Khan receives:

Immediate, adequate and ongoing medical attention from qualified specialists of his choosing to address his reported health issues.

Humane and dignified conditions of detention in line with international standards, including regular visits by close family members.

Fair and transparent access to legal processes without undue delay or hindrance.

Cricket has long been a bridge between nations. Our shared history on the field reminds us that rivalry ends when the stumps are drawn - and respect endures. Imran Khan embodied that spirit throughout his career.

We call on authorities to honour it now by upholding the principles of decency and justice.

This appeal is made in the spirit of sportsmanship and common humanity, without prejudice to any legal proceedings"

“کل رات تقریباً پونے دس بجے میری اسلام آباد میں موجود دو ڈاکٹرز سے ٹیلی فون پر بات ہوئی، جو اس وقت عمران خان صاحب کی آنکھ کا علاج کر رہے ہیں۔ یہ گفتگو تقریباً 40 منٹ تک جاری رہی۔
میں نے اپنے کولیگ ڈاکٹر خرم مرزا، جو لاہور میں ریجنل اسپیشلسٹ ہیں، ان سے بھی درخواست کی کہ وہ اس کال میں شامل ہوں۔ ان کی مہربانی ہے کہ وہ فوراً شامل ہو گئے اور انہوں نے بھی تفصیلی بات چیت میں حصہ لیا۔
اسلام آباد کے ڈاکٹرز نے تفصیل سے بتایا کہ وہ کب سے خان صاحب کو دیکھ رہے ہیں، کون کون سے ٹیسٹ کیے گئے، کیا تشخیص ہوئی، اب تک کیا علاج ہوا اور آئندہ علاج کا کیا پلان ہے۔ انہوں نے یہ بھی بتایا کہ فالو اپ کس طرح کیا جائے گا۔
ڈاکٹرز کے مطابق انہوں نے آخری بار کل دوپہر خان صاحب کو دیکھا، اور تمام رپورٹس و تازہ اسیسمنٹ کے مطابق خان صاحب کی طبیعت پہلے سے بہتر ہے، آنکھ میں بہتری آئی ہے اور بینائی بھی امپروو ہوئی ہے۔
میری خواہش ہے کہ میں پورے یقین سے اس کی تصدیق کر سکوں، مگر افسوس کہ میں نہ تصدیق کر سکتا ہوں اور نہ تردید۔ اس کی وجہ یہ ہے کہ میں نے خود خان صاحب کو نہ دیکھا ہے اور نہ ہی ان سے بات ہوئی ہے۔ مزید یہ کہ خان صاحب کی فیملی کی جانب سے نامزد ڈاکٹرز کو بھی ابھی تک انہیں دیکھنے کی اجازت نہیں دی گئی۔
اسی لیے میں ایک بار پھر اتھارٹیز سے درخواست کرتا ہوں کہ مجھے یا ڈاکٹر فیصل سلطان کو، اور خان صاحب کی فیملی کی جانب سے نامزد ڈاکٹرز کو اسلام آباد میں معائنے اور علاج کے عمل میں شامل ہونے کی اجازت دی جائے۔
میری خصوصی درخواست ہے کہ آئندہ تمام ٹیسٹ، اسیسمنٹ اور علاج Shifa International Hospital میں کیا جائے، کیونکہ ہمارا یقین ہے کہ یہ عالمی معیار اور مناسب اسٹیندرز کا حامل اسپتال ہے، جہاں عمران خان صاحب کو ان شاء اللہ بہترین علاج میسر آ سکے گا”
